Early Life & Education:

After losing his father at a young age, Dumisane was raised by his grandmother while still in primary school. He began his education at Msogwaba Primary School and completed matric at Lihawu Senior Secondary School.

With no financial support to pursue further studies, he worked for nine months as a general labourer at a construction company — saving diligently to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a teacher.

His determination paid off when he enrolled and successfully obtained:

• Diploma in Outcome-Based Education
• Diploma in Computer and Business Administration
• Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management

Career Journey:

Dumisane’s academic excellence earned him the title of Best Student Ever Produced at Stanford Business College (1999), where he later worked as an IT Facilitator. He then joined Damelin as an IT Lecturer.

Seeking a greater challenge, he transitioned into the banking industry as a Sales Consultant before discovering his passion in broadcasting — ultimately joining Ligwalagwala FM, where he hosted weekend shows.

Today, he is the popular breakfast show presenter on Ligwalagwala FM’s “Mzansi Breakfast Show”, an SABC station based in Nelspruit with a listenership of over 1.5 million.

Music Career:

Dumisane is also a celebrated DJ and music producer. He recently released his second house album, From Spy to Sky Vol. 2, featuring hits such as:

• Efigeni – A song promoting respect for women
• The Light – A motivational track about life
• Yophuza and Ukuta – Energetic club bangers made for the dance floor
