Ligwalagwala FM hosted a highly impactful edition of the Phefemula Ndvodza “Man to Man Workshop” on Saturday, 26 July 2025 at Ndalo Lodge, Mbombela drawing a full attendance of 150 men. The seminar created a safe and empowering platform for men to engage on critical issues of health, wellness, family, and social responsibility.

The programme opened with a warm welcome from Mr. Lungile Nduvane, SABC Regional Operations Manager, who set the tone for a day of reflection and empowerment. The seminar was also attended by MEC Jackie Macie (Department of Community Safety, Security, and Liaison) who emphasized the importance of men as role models in fighting gender-based violence (GBV) and building safer communities.

The day’s discussions featured a dynamic panel of speakers covering a wide range of relevant topics:

· Financial and Credit Management – Mr. Alfred Matsimbi, National Credit Regulator

· Entrepreneurship and Mental Health – Mr. Oupa Pilane

· Traditional Man in a Modern Society – Mr. Shakes Nkuna

· Do the Opposite of Wrong – Mr. Alex Mthethwa

· Property Talk – Mr. Bheki Mathebula

· Men’s Medical Health – Dr. Eric Khumalo

Each session included interactive Q&A opportunities, allowing attendees to directly engage with the speakers and seek practical advice for their personal and professional lives. The workshop concluded with an afternoon networking and entertainment session, offering men a relaxed space to connect, reflect, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood. Ligwalagwala FM looks forward to growing the Phefumula Ndvodza into a flagship empowerment programme that continues to inspire positive change among men across the country.
