Thandeka, affectionately known to her listeners as DJ TDK, is an ambitious and energetic radio personality who brings passion, motivation, and a vibrant spirit to the airwaves. Born and raised in Pienaar and now residing in Kanyamazane, Thandeka embodies the voice of her community with a strong commitment to informing, educating, and inspiring her audience.
She describes herself as self-motivated, success-oriented, and driven by a deep sense of responsibility. A true team player, Thandeka is known for her positive attitude, high energy, and mentorship spirit—qualities that have earned her a loyal listenership and the respect of her peers.
Career Journey
Thandeka’s journey in radio began in 2008 at BBR FM, where she quickly made her mark as a weekend presenter. Her talent and connection with listeners earned her a nomination for Best Radio Presenter and a certificate in presenting. In 2014, she joined Nkomazi FM, where she hosted a popular family magazine show, further solidifying her place in the broadcasting world.
Today, Thandeka is a proud member of the Ligwalagwala FM team under the SABC, continuing her mission to uplift and entertain.
