About Lender “Mancane” Malope
Lender “Mancane” Malope is a passionate and resilient media personality who has turned personal adversity into inspiration. Living with paraplegia after a life-changing accident, Lender did not allow her disability to define or limit her. Instead, she rose above her challenges to pursue her dreams—becoming a beacon of hope and motivation for others.
Her journey into the spotlight began in 2002 when she was crowned Miss Confidence South Africa, a national beauty pageant celebrating women living with disabilities. This milestone gave her the visibility and confidence to pursue a career in the media industry.
Her breakthrough came in 2004 when Nomalanga Sibiya, a Senior Producer at SABC Education, offered her a co-presenting role on the educational program Fundani Nathi. She later co-hosted the youth show Soul Buddyz in 2006, further expanding her presence in the broadcasting space.
Today, Lender co-hosts the popular Mzansi Breakfast Show on Ligwalagwala FM, a children-oriented show that blends education with entertainment every weekday morning. Her presence on radio is not just a personal achievement—it also represents a significant step forward for visibility and inclusion of people with disabilities in mainstream media.
Lender is a dynamic motivational speaker, MC, actress, and businesswoman. She uses her platform to inspire, educate, and advocate for people living with disabilities. Her ultimate dream is to host her own television talk show focused on disability awareness, empowerment, and social inclusion.
Lender’s story is one of courage, purpose, and impact—reminding us all that with belief and determination, anything is possible.
