Lender “Mancane” Malope is a young woman living with a disability as a paraplegia. Life was not easy for her but against all odds she stood up and believed that anything is possible and went for her dreams. After the accident she followed her dream of entering beauty pageants and ended up winning Miss Confidence South Africa in 2002 which is a beauty pageant for young women living with disabilities. Because of the exposure she received after winning the Miss Confidence South Africa title she then developed interest of working in the media industry.

She received her first break when the Senior Producer of the SABC Education Portfolio Nomalanga Sibiya gave her a chance to co-presenter the show Fundani Nathi in 2004. She also co-presented the show, Soul Buddyz in 2006. She is currently co-presenting the Mzansi breakfast show with Madumane at 9am – 10am from Monday – Friday. Her show is children orientated, educational and entertaining.

Working for Ligwalagwala FM SABC, means a lot to her as a person living with a disability as most of us don’t get such opportunities. Her dream is to become a TV presenter and a talk show host that will tackle issues concerning people living with disabilities one day.

She is also a motivational speaker, MC, Actress and a business woman
